Every structured value is assigned one of two provenance states. Verified means the value is supported by an identified source, normally official manufacturer support material or a product document. Development assumption means the value is illustrative, estimated, or part of Keepvero’s current decision policy. An assumption is never promoted to a manufacturer fact.
2. Source preference
For model identity, error-code meaning, documented owner checks, and rated consumption, Keepvero prefers manufacturer manuals, support pages, product sheets, and regulated label data. Commercial prices and service costs change more quickly and need a date, market, and clear status before they can be treated as current evidence.
3. Diagnosis boundaries
The Diagnosis Engine maps structured answers to a cause group, confidence level, safety class, safe checks, and next action. It does not claim to identify a unique failed component when several faults can produce the same symptom. Higher-priority safety rules run before convenience or cost rules.
4. Running-cost calculation
CostMe multiplies washes per week by 52 to estimate annual cycles. Electricity per cycle is multiplied by annual cycles and the user’s electricity price. Water litres are converted to cubic metres and multiplied by the local water price. The two annual amounts are then combined. Published laboratory or label figures remain estimates of real use.
5. Repair-or-replace policy
StillWorthIt compares appliance age, repair range, comparable replacement price, current and replacement operating costs, lifecycle assumptions, and safety. The Keepvero Repair Limit starts from a configured share of replacement value and accounts for potential operating savings over the comparison period. It is a transparent product policy, not a universal financial law.
6. Confidence
Confidence describes how strongly the available structured evidence supports the output. It is reduced when important values are missing or the repair estimate overlaps the decision threshold. A high-confidence economic result is still subordinate to a professional safety finding.
7. Corrections and review
Verified records carry source information and can carry a verification date. Material corrections should update the structured record, its source, and relevant tests together. Editorial pages are reviewed when their underlying product logic or cited source changes.
8. Advertising separation
Advertising and future commercial partnerships are outside the decision engines. Advertisers cannot purchase a verdict, confidence level, repair threshold, or favourable editorial conclusion. Ads should not be positioned so that they appear to be a safety instruction or diagnosis action.
